Sale Horses: We have a number of nice riding and driving horses for sale, both our own and consignments.  Our riding horses are in regular  work/training.  If you are shopping for a Fjord, take a look at our selection.  

Lessons:  Spring lessons start on 4/6.  Contact Culpeper County Parks and Rec for our Saturday group lessons.  We also will offer a few private lessons (small group or individual) outside the county program.  Please contact us for informa-tion. 

Recent Awards:  Tiffany Catledge and Ironwood Blitzen won the Commonwealth Dressagen and Combined Training Association’s Beginner Novice year end championship. Last year Blitzen won two USEA Horse Trails and had good placings in other competitions.  In 2013, Blitzen will switch focus to combined driving.

Also congratulations to Helen Hayn and Ironwood Erik Aleksander for their CDCTA year end award -- 3rd place in Starter Novice.  They actually tied for 2nd place in points, but Erik had less horse trial points.   Erik is showing at training level dressage and schooling first level dressage.  He’s jumping 2’ in competition and we are schooling him up to 2’9”at home.  The goal is 2’7” and a recognized horse trial in 2013 (if he doesn’t sell first!)

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

There will be an NFHR Evaluation at Frying Pan Park, Herndon, VA on August 10 and 11th.  We’ll be bringing a number of youngster there for conformation and performance tests.  More information will be forthcoming.  The NFHR Evaluation Prep Clinic will be held on April 14th at Frying Pan Park.  Please contact us for more information.
